Meet our team

Pastor Lindsey Kerr Lindsey Kerr was appointed to Christ Church in February 2016. Lindsey is a graduate of Pacific School of Religion and American University. Prior to becoming a pastor, Lindsey served as a missionary through the General Board of Global Ministries in Mindanao, Philippines. Lindsey is passionate about the church's role in working for justice and social change, and seeks to live as a disciple of the radical and compassionate Jesus Christ. With a keen interest in developing community partnerships, Lindsey also serves as Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church here in Santa Rosa.
Glo Wellman

Glo Wellman is our Conference Lay Minister. She has been actively participating at Christ Church since 1986. Glo has served as Lay Leader for many years and has worked closely with previous pastors in both worship and administrative roles. Glo has a graduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She has taught Child Development at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1984. Glo has always felt a strong calling to awaken others to the wonder and wisdom of children. It is a natural extension to broaden her passion to recognize and support all of our brothers and sisters in God's world. As our pastor, she brings unity and inspiration.

Carol Jean Boevers

Carol-Jean Boevers has a lifetime of experience in many musical settings, but especially in sacred music. Having learned to play the piano at a very young age, she was teaching and performing before high school. She has served as organist, choir director and music director in a variety of religious denominations. She has directed school choirs  and also performed in musical theatre, orchestra and concert venues. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, she has worked outside of music in the fields of public relations, genealogy, writing and promoting Waldorf Education.

Carol-Jean seeks to exercise creativity and craft to praise God in new ways. She especially enjoys finding ways to use everyone’s musical talents, whatever they may be.

Carl Sokol at the piano

Carl Sokol has been accompanying the choir at Christ Church United Methodist since the fall of 2001. He has derived great joy from playing all kinds of hymns since he was a young boy growing up in a one-room, wood-paneled Friends Meeting House in the rural area of Unadilla, New York. He often sings a special song or joins with other musicians adding meaningful music to our Christ Church service.

He uses his musical talents in many ways in Sonoma County, including accompanying movement classes at various schools, directing the music for theatre productions, and playing special music for other community events.
